Last summer, the Government began preliminary investigations into the recording of this video, for which the company had not requested authorization from the Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and the Natural Environment to carry out the filming and during which it entered an exclusion zone, where entry is prohibited.

When the fine was notified, the artist's production company immediately paid the amount, thus closing the case. It should be remembered that at the time the investigation was made public, Katy Perry's record company stated that it had received "verbal approval"from the local production company to film the music video for the American artist's latest song in the Ibiza Natural Park (a protected area). "The local video production company assured us that all the necessary permits were in place. We have since learned that a permit was pending, although we were verbally authorized to proceed," they stated.
