Lax'n'Busto returns to Felanitx 20 years later
The band performed for the last time in the municipality, in 2006 before Pemi Fortuny announced his departure from the group
PalmaThe Catalan rock band Lax'n'Bust will return next Sunday to Felanitx, twenty years after their last performance in the municipality, to offer a free concert as part of the Sant Agustí festivities.
The performance will take place in the Parc Municipal de sa Torre and will be the only one on the group's current tour with free access, the organization reported this Tuesday in a statement. The band has recovered its original lineup, with Pemi Fortuny as vocalist, alongside Jesús Rovira, Jimmy Piñol, Pemi Rovirosa, Cristian Gómez Montenegro, and keyboardist Eduard Font. During the concert, they will perform some of their best-known songs, such as 'Llença't', 'Miami Beach', and 'La meva terra és la mar'. The Catalan group first performed in Felanitx in 1992 and returned to the municipality in 2000 and in August 2006.
That last concert was held a few weeks before Pemi Fortuny announced his departure from the band, which is why this Sunday's performance will mark his return with the band to the same stage two decades later. The night's lineup will also include the Mallorcan group Fora del Sembrat, led by Pep Suasi, who will perform again at Felanitx festivals 25 years later. The group participated in the Sant Agustí festivals in 1999 and 2001. Also taking the stage will be the Felanitx band Romandre and DJ Trapella, who will close the evening with a musical session.
