Man arrested for stabbing a woman after an argument in Cala Nova, Palma

PalmThe National Police have arrested a man for stabbing a woman several times after an argument in Cala Nova, Palma, causing several injuries to her limbs and lower back. The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning when a citizen reported to the police that he had found a woman bleeding profusely on the street near the Cala Nova yacht club, according to Efe.

The patrol that arrived at the scene saw the woman being treated by paramedics from a medical unit. The victim had numerous wounds and cuts, although not serious. After receiving the necessary treatment, the woman did not provide any information about the incident to the officers and was transferred to a hospital for further medical analysis.

Witnesses of the attack reported that the couple had been drinking alcohol, that they started an argument, insulted each other, and called each other names. One witness saw how the man allegedly stabbed the woman several times with what appeared to be a kitchen knife. After reprimanding him for what he was doing, the attacker left the scene, and witnesses helped the woman until the ambulance arrived.

At around 9:00 a.m. this Sunday, a patrol car located a man whose physical characteristics matched those reported by witnesses and who had numerous stains of what appeared to be blood on his clothing.

When the suspect was questioned about the blood stains and the cut on his forearm, he said he had had an argument with a friend and that, as a result of the argument, she had punched him in the face and robbed his arms.
