A man has been arrested in Palma for four years of obsessive harassment of a neighbor.

PalmThe National Police have arrested a man in Palma accused of harassing a neighbor in his building for nearly four years. According to police sources, the man repeatedly sent her messages and gifts and even listened to her conversations through her front door. The victim reported that she had been suffering systematic harassment since at least 2021. After obtaining her phone number, the neighbor allegedly sent her numerous messages and made hundreds of calls in an attempt to maintain contact, though she always avoided answering him. Later, the man began leaving her gifts—costume crowns, keychains, toy handcuffs, and other items—first by defacing her car and, later, by leaving them in front of her house.

Upon returning from a trip, the woman even found a bag of churros in front of her apartment, which worried her and made her suspect that her neighbor might be following her movements or listening to conversations with family or friends inside the apartment.

Another neighbor confirmed that the man had been outside her apartment door for several days and that she had even seen him lying on the ground in front of the entrance.

The final straw that prompted her to report him was one afternoon when, as she explained, she found the man in the building with an axe, walking along the landings, an incident that filled her with a strong sense of fear.
