A man is seriously injured after falling seven meters while canyoning in Sóller

PalmaA 51-year-old man has been seriously injured after falling from a height of seven meters while canyoning in the torrent of les Llemes, in the municipality of Sóller. The accident, as reported by SAMU, took place around 1 p.m. this Tuesday.

The man was canyoning in the torrent when, for reasons currently unknown, he fell from a height of seven meters. Mallorca Firefighters rescued the victim by helicopter, who was in a difficult-to-access area, and transferred him to the ambulance. The injured man, who presented with multiple traumas, was evacuated in serious condition to Son Espases University Hospital.
