PalmA young woman suffered minor injuries after being struck by a train near the Marratxí industrial estate. According to a tweet from the Mallorca Railway Services (SFM), the girl has been taken to Son Llàtzer Hospital. They explained that the victim was conscious and "did not suffer serious consequences" from the incident.
Initial investigations indicate that the woman may have been crossing a designated area, but the traffic light was red, and the train struck her just as she was passing. Fortunately, she was traveling at low speed, and the driver was able to brake in time, minimizing the impact.
The accident forced the SFM to temporarily suspend service, resulting in delays of between 25 and 30 minutes. Although normal service has not yet been restored, the service is expected to be operational again this Tuesday afternoon.
