ManacorThe Manacor City Council will assume the organization of the municipality's participation in the Pujada a Lluc a peu de la Part Forana, which reaches its 45th edition. After the attempted implementation of the new organizational model promoted by the Consell de Mallorca, the Manacor City Council has had to take the lead to directly address the needs of the people of Manacor and ensure they can participate, for another year and free of charge, in this deeply rooted event in Mallorca.

Thus, the Sports department—headed by the sports delegate, Llorenç Mesquida—with the support of the Senior Citizens department, will directly manage registrations, prepare commemorative t-shirts, and contract buses that will allow participants to travel from Manacor and Porto Cristo to Inca, the starting point of the walk.

"Our objective is to ensure that the people of Manacor can continue to participate in an activity as cherished and deeply rooted as the Pujada a Lluc a peu," stated the Sports councilor, Llorenç Mesquida. "Given the changes in this year's organizational model, the City Council has deemed it necessary to take the lead and directly assume this task to respond to the needs of the citizens and provide all the necessary means so that the day can be enjoyed with all guarantees".

Registrations can be made in person from August 27th to September 8th, or until available places are exhausted, as they are limited. The registration hours will be from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, at the offices of the Sports department, located on the third floor of the municipal building at Carrer Major number 22.

Registration is free and includes round-trip transportation and a commemorative t-shirt. Buses will depart from Manacor and Porto Cristo to Inca: the Manacor-Inca coach will leave at 3:00 AM from the municipal park, and the Porto Cristo-Inca coach will leave at 2:15 AM from the Ses Comes football field. The return is scheduled for 9:00 AM.

In addition, people who wish to participate in the walk starting on foot from Manacor can begin the route on September 12th at 9:00 PM, from La Salle.

"The Pujada a Lluc on foot is much more than a sporting activity. It is a tradition, an expression of Mallorcan identity, and a community experience that for decades has been built thanks to the involvement of municipalities, organizations, and volunteers," Mesquida concluded. "The Manacor City Council wants to contribute to keeping this tradition alive and, this year, we are taking care of everything necessary so that the people of Manacor can participate."
