Nearly 3,500 immigrants have arrived in the Balearic Islands by boat this year.
In the same period in 2024, 102 boat arrivals were recorded with 1,553 migrants leaving North Africa.
PalmFrom January to July 2025, 3,482 migrants arrived in the Balearic Islands on 182 boats from Algeria, representing a 124% increase compared to the first seven months of last year.

If the current trend continues, calculated based on information provided by the Spanish government delegation with each detected arrival of small boats, by the end of the year the total number of irregular immigrants arriving by sea in the Balearic Islands will approach 13,200.
