New police operation in Son Banya against drug trafficking and urban irregularities
The operation counts on the participation of the Udyco and the Local Police of Palma
PalmaThe National Police and the Local Police of Palma are deploying a new joint operation this Friday in the Son Banya settlement against drug trafficking and possible urban irregularities. The operation has so far resulted in one arrest for an alleged drug trafficking offense.
According to police sources, agents from the National Police's Organized Crime and Drug Unit (Udyco) are participating in the action, while a large part of the intervention is focused on urban planning.
In this regard, the demolition of several houses in the settlement is planned due to alleged urban planning violations, as part of an operation that remains open and could lead to new actions throughout the day.
It should be recalled that a similar operation was carried out in Son Banya on June 18, which resulted in seven arrests and the demolition of several constructions. That operation was also part of the police strategy of pressure against drug dealing points and irregular buildings in the settlement.
