Provisional release for the alleged murderer of a man in Manacor
According to the investigation, the blow to the head that the deceased received was not the direct cause of death.
PalmThe judge of Manacor's Investigative Court No. 3 has ordered the provisional release of the man arrested for allegedly killing the man found dead on the outskirts of Manacor last Friday.
However, the judge has imposed precautionary measures such as the revocation of his passport and a ban on leaving Mallorca, according to the High Court of Justice of the Balearic Islands (TSJIB).
The suspect was brought before a court this morning as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of bodily harm, despite having initially been arrested for homicide. The search carried out by the National Police Homicide Unit and the autopsy performed on the body revealed that the wound inflicted by the arrested man on the deceased by hitting him on the head with an iron bar was not the direct cause of death.
Investigators say the woman's death was due to gradual blood loss and other circumstances, including her failure to seek medical attention after the attack.
A fight and once with a bar
The victim's body was found last Friday on the outskirts of the town. The woman who lived with the victim found him, notified a neighbor, and called the emergency services. Homicide officers discovered that on Thursday, a fight had broken out between the deceased and an acquaintance, who had hit him on the head with a bar.
The police set up an operation to locate the suspect. They found him near the Manacor police station and arrested him as the alleged perpetrator of homicide.
Investigators located the iron bar with which the victim was allegedly beaten and confirmed that the two involved had been drinking and fighting before the attack took place.
The wound suffered by the victim caused bleeding, but was not fatal, according to the police. In fact, the suspect called emergency services at that point, and the victim left for home without seeking help or seeking medical attention.
The woman who lived with him then noticed the wound and bleeding, but she didn't seek help until she found the lifeless body the next day.
