PalmaBars in the center and the port of Ciutadella have reported this Wednesday the successive power outages, up to three, that they have suffered in the middle of August, during high season.

The last one, reported by Cafè Balear, occurred on Tuesday at 9:10 p.m., "in the middle of peak work and people hours, with some dining and others waiting for their turn".

The establishment assures that there are people who understand that it is a temporary problem and not the responsibility of the establishment, "but others even go as far as to threaten and insult". "You are forced to close because you cannot cope with such a serious adversity, a problem that repeats itself year after year", without being resolved, they report.

Cafè Balear complains that, when they manage to report the breakdown, the technicians take between two and three hours to arrive and, after resolving it shortly after, they give no explanation nor show any consideration towards those affected.

The restaurant warns of the "bad image" that successive power cuts generate for the establishment, tourism, and the island itself. "In addition to the economic damages, there are also reputational ones, as the establishment's image is severely damaged", they state.
