PalmPalma is experiencing today, Monday, January 19th, the San Sebastián festivalThe most popular night of the patron saint festivities features the lighting of bonfires, the Drac de na Coca parade, free concerts in various squares in the town center until the early hours, and the parallel celebration of the alternative Ses Sant Kanuteres festival. Below you will find all the planned events, schedules, and special services.

Official program of the San Sebastián festival

Monday, January 19

6:30 p.m. - Plaza Mayor

Start of the festival with a popular glossada and traditional dance by popular culture groups, with the participation of xeremiers, giants and dancers.

7:50 p.m. – Court in the Plaza Mayor

The Dragon of na Coca departs from Cort, accompanied by a batucada, to the Plaza Mayor.

Approximately 8:00 p.m. – Plaza Mayor

Lighting of the central bonfire, which marks the official start of the night of toasts and bonfires throughout the city center.

Special public transport

To facilitate mobility during the night, the City Council has arranged special services:

EMT Palma

  • Reinforcement of the main urban lines.
  • Night service extended until approximately 03:30 – 04:00 h, depending on the line.
  • More frequent service before and after the festival, especially towards neighborhoods and outlying areas.

Metro and train (Mallorca Railway Services)

  • Special metro service with extended runs until approximately 02:30 h.
  • Trains with increased frequency during afternoon and evening hours.

Traffic restrictions

  • Traffic disruptions in the historic center starting in the afternoon.
  • The use of public transport is recommended, and access by private vehicle should be avoided.
