Very seriously injured a 54-year-old cyclist after colliding with a car in Selva
The man has suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest after the accident and has been transferred in critical condition to Son Espases
PalmaA 54-year-old German cyclist was very seriously injured this Saturday after suffering a traffic accident with a car on the Lluc road MA-2130, at kilometer 9, in the municipality of Selva.
The man suffered cardiorespiratory arrest as a result of the accident. SAMU 061 mobilized several resources, including an Advanced Vital Support (SVA) ambulance, and paramedics initiated advanced vital support maneuvers that allowed his pulse to be recovered.
Once stabilized, the cyclist was transferred in critical condition to the Son Espases University Hospital, where he was admitted with the activation of the severe polytrauma code. Emergency services intervened in the accident to attend to the injured person, while the corresponding actions are being carried out to determine the circumstances of the collision between the bicycle and the vehicle.
