PalmaA 45-year-old man was critically injured this Friday afternoon after falling from the twelfth floor of one of Palma's tallest buildings, located in Plaça de Barcelona. The fall also injured two people who were on the terrace of a bar.

The events took place around 4:00 p.m. According to initial information published by island media, the man was in the building during an argument with his ex-partner and was reportedly surprised by the building's concierge. Shortly after, he fell from one of the upper floors.

The fall was partially cushioned by a tree before the man reached the terrace of an establishment located on the lower part of the building. Two people who were in this area were also injured.

The National Police went to the scene and is keeping the investigation open to clarify the circumstances of the incident. Emergency services have activated a green alert to facilitate the transfer of the most critically injured person to Son Espases University Hospital.

A second injured person was also transferred to Son Espases, while the third was evacuated to Son Llàtzer University Hospital.

The police investigation remains open to determine exactly what happened.
