A shark has been found off the coast of Ibiza.

These types of sightings are usually related to rough seas or sudden changes in marine conditions that can disorient these pelagic animals. Despite the surprise generated by the presence of a shark so close to urban areas, experts remind us that this is neither an exceptional event nor a danger to the population. In recent years, sporadic sightings of sharks and other large marine species have been recorded off the coasts of the Balearic Islands, often documented thanks to social media.
