The officers tried to negotiate with the man at all times, but he was very aggressive. According to the police report, he even stabbed at the access door of the property, with the tip sticking out. "The first one who comes in, I'll take care of him" or "I'm not leaving here," were some of the threats that, according to the National Police, he made to the officers while they tried to calm the situation. Given the man's agitated state, the police requested the presence of an ambulance and the Fire Department.

Finally, the officers managed to access the interior of the home, where the man received them brandishing the knife and in a very nervous attitude. To subdue him, the Police had to use an electric immobilization device. Subsequently, the officers verified that the detainee had a valid restraining order for his mother's home and that he had violated it. The man has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of breaking a precautionary measure, domestic abuse, and assaulting a police officer.
