The Collective hosts an event on freedom of expression for women in Afghanistan

PalmAfghan journalist and writer Zainab Saberi will be at the cultural space La Colectiva in Palma as part of the event on freedom of expression for women in Afghanistan organized by Catalan PEN.

The event, which will take place this Friday, February 13, World Press Freedom Day, at 7 p.m., will feature the Afghan writer, who has firsthand knowledge of the realities faced by women and their freedom of expression in the Islamic country. Saberi will be joined by Valentina Milano, Professor of International Law at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB), and Gemma Rodríguez, Director of PEN International. Professor Miquel Àngel Llauger will moderate and translate the event into English, and the writer JM Vidal Illanes will introduce it.
