For at-risk individuals

The Balearic Islands Medical Association (COMIB) has reiterated that, according to the Ministry of Health, vaccination is especially recommended for people at high risk of complications and for those who have contact with these groups, as they could transmit the disease. The Association has emphasized that doctors, as healthcare professionals, should be immunized against the flu virus, not only for their own protection, but also to reduce absenteeism and protect patients. According to COMIB, vaccination of healthcare personnel decreases the incidence of flu cases and respiratory infections among professionals.
