PalmIn five days, the GOB has managed to raise the 5,000 euros needed to cover the legal costs arising from a lawsuit filed by the entity against the works to expand the operational capacity of Palma Airport, promoted by Aena.
Environmentalists have managed to raise 8,000 euros thanks to the "Condemned for Defending Mallorca" campaign. "Thank you for such a generous, swift, and forceful response. It's evidence that there are many of us who are showing resolute resistance against a tourism model that has exceeded all limits and that strengthens us in our continued defense of our territory," they said in a statement.
The GOB has explained that in addition to covering the costs arising from the litigation, the surplus raised will be used to cover the costs of other ongoing litigation and "continue fighting for a fairer, greener, and better place to live in Mallorca."
