Ico arrested for stabbing a man and cutting a woman's hair with a knife in Son Banya
The son of Paca, who had a restraining order from the village, is accused of a crime of assault and another of breach of sentence
PalmaThe National Police have arrested Francisco Fernández Cortés, known as the Ico and son of Paca,accused of stabbing another man and assaulting a woman during a brawl in the Son Banya settlement, in Palma. It should be remembered that Ico has a restraining order from the settlement, a prohibition he has failed to comply with.
The events took place this Sunday afternoon, when 091 received a report of a stabbing in Son Banya. Upon arriving at the scene, officers located the victim, who had a cut on his left ear and a contusion on one eye. The man stated that he had been attacked by another individual during a dispute. According to the victim's testimony, the aggressor also dragged the woman by her legs and cut several locks of her hair with the same knife. As a result of his injuries, the man was transferred to a hospital, where he required several stitches.
Various witnesses corroborated this version of events and pointed to a man known from the village as the alleged perpetrator of the assault. They also indicated that, after the incident, he had taken refuge at a relative's home located a short distance away.
The agents moved to this dwelling and interviewed Paca's son. According to the National Police, Ico stated that he had gone to Son Banya to buy drugs and that he had been attacked, although he denied having used a knife. He did admit, however, that both he and the seller had assaulted each other with iron bars.
The police officers confirmed that both Paca's son and the relative accompanying him had bruises and minor injuries. Upon checking police databases, they also discovered that Ico had a restraining order from Son Banya that had been notified to him a few days prior.
For these reasons, Ico was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of assault and another of breach of sentence. When the officers informed him of the arrest, he attempted to flee, but was intercepted a few meters later and taken to police facilities.
