The BreakThe mayor of Campos, Francisca Porquer (PP), burst in this Sunday in the middle of the reading of the manifesto of the human chain in defense of El Trenc and starred in the only moment of tension of a mobilization that took place in a calm atmosphere. Porquer placed herself next to the writer and columnist for ARA Balears Sebastià Alzamora, who was reading the manifesto, and the spokesperson for the GOB, Tonina Siquier.

The presence of the mayoress provoked the reaction of a part of the public, who shouted at her with cries of "out" and proclamations in defense of the Natural Park. Porquer remained by the side of those in charge of reading the manifesto while the protests of the attendees continued.

Given the situation, the people holding the main banner of the mobilization positioned themselves in front of the mayoress and covered her with the banner to allow Alzamora to continue reading. Shortly after, Porquer moved a few meters away and the manifesto could be read without further incident, although some of those present continued to heckle her.

Upon finishing the reading, the mayoress approached the journalists to try to make statements, but they indicated that they first wanted to address the organizers of the mobilization. Subsequently, Porquer directly addressed an IB3 journalist to offer her statements.

The mayoress had attended the event accompanied by a group of people who also had verbal confrontations with some of the demonstrators. According to witnesses present, some of the companions responded to the reproaches by defending that they were from Campos and that the demonstrators were not. One even went so far as to reproach the attendees: "If you are so ecological, you shouldn't take sand on your feet today."

Finally, Porquer and her companions left the area after this episode. The tension did not escalate and the human chain, which gathered thousands of people between La Ràpita and Les Covetes, continued normally.
