The storm continues in Mallorca: torrential rain in the north and east of the island

The storm hit areas such as Son Servera, Capdepera, Artà, Alcúdia and Cala Millor this Wednesday afternoon.

PalmFar from having faded, the storm that has affected Mallorca these past few days continues to have a significant impact in certain parts of the island. Early this afternoon, heavy rain fell in Alcudia and Artà, flooding streets.

Furthermore, a severe downpour occurred in Son Servera, forcing restaurant terraces and vehicles that were circulating at the time to cease operations.

After last Tuesday's storm, which mainly affected towns in the Tramuntana mountains, Palma, and the surrounding area, the storm moved north and east of the island on Wednesday.

Ma-4031 road closure towards Artà

Likewise, the Son Servera Town Council has reported via the Meteo Illes Balears WhatsApp channel that the section of the Ma-4031 road toward Artà, which includes the car washes, has been closed due to fallen trees. The Mallorca Fire Department, the Local Police, and Civil Protection are already working to restore normality as soon as possible.
