PalmaJoves de Mallorca per la Llengua is launching a new edition of Treu la Llengua next Saturday, November 14th in Esporles. For the second consecutive year, Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua, in collaboration with the municipality's City Council, will celebrate the seventh edition of the festival near the Son Quint football field, with a dance, concerts, and DJs.

The event reaches its seventh edition with the aim of claiming the normalization of the Catalan language in youth leisure spaces and demonstrating that popular celebrations can also be held entirely in this language.

The festival's format will combine a traditional dance, musical performances, and DJs. The organization will soon announce the artists who will participate in this edition. In previous years, Treu la Llengua has enjoyed the presence of groups such as The Tyets, Zoo, and Oques Grasses. The initiative complements the celebrations campaign promoted by Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua, which includes a catalog of artists in Catalan to facilitate town councils' compliance with the commitment to achieve a minimum of 50% music in this language at popular festivities. The campaign provides continuity to the agreement promoted by the entity with eight political parties and about thirty municipalities to increase the presence of Catalan in popular festivities.

The language is also claimed in leisure

Joves de Mallorca per la Llengua maintains that linguistic normalization must also reach leisure spaces, which play a central role in the socialization of young people. In this sense, the entity advocates for music and culture as tools to bring Catalan closer to new generations and as a gateway to the language for people who are not Catalan speakers.

With Treu la Llengua, the organization aims to mirror popular festivities and offer a proposal for revelry in Catalan at popular prices, with the desire to make the language a habitual element of the party and the social life of youth.
