These are the traffic cuts and the changes to the EMT for the Rels B concert in Palma
The Local Police and the EMT activate a special device between this Tuesday and Saturday on the occasion of the free concert on Friday
PalmaPalma is preparing a special traffic and public transport plan for the free concert that the singer Rels B will offer this Friday, September 11, at the Parc de la Mar. The disruptions began this Tuesday and will continue until Saturday, with traffic closures on Avinguda d'Adolfo Suárez and temporary diversions and cancellations on several EMT lines.
The main road disruption will be the occupation of the right lane of Avinguda d'Adolfo Suárez, in the section between Avinguda de Gabriel Alomar and the entrance to the Parc de la Mar parking lot. This restriction began this past Tuesday and will remain in effect until Saturday.
In addition, Avinguda d'Adolfo Suárez will be completely closed in both directions in the section between Avinguda de Gabriel Alomar and Avinguda d'Antoni Maura during two time slots: from 8:00 PM on Thursday, September 10, until 2:00 AM on Friday the 11th, and from 3:00 PM on Friday the 11th until 8:00 AM on Saturday the 12th. During these same periods, the exit of the Parc de la Mar parking lot towards the highway will also be closed.
Changes to EMT lines
Traffic restrictions will also force a temporary modification of the EMT Palma service.
Line L25 will be diverted via Porta des Camp, Avingudes, and Plaça de la Reina during the periods when Avinguda d'Adolfo Suárez is closed in the direction of Portopí. The alternative route will be in effect from 8 p.m. on Thursday the 10th until 2 a.m. on Friday the 11th, and again from 3 p.m. on Friday the 11th until 8 a.m. on Saturday the 12th.
During these periods, stop 1982, Parc de la Mar-Catedral, will be suspended. As for line L30, service will be suspended during the periods when Avinguda d'Adolfo Suárez is closed in the direction of Portopí. Thus, this Thursday, September 10th, the last departure of line L30 from the Palau de Congressos will be at 7:31 p.m., while the last departure from Marivent will be at 7:55 p.m.
The line will also be suspended between 3 p.m. on Friday the 11th and 8 a.m. on Saturday, September 12th. The operation, coordinated by the Palma Local Police and the EMT, aims to manage the impacts derived from the influx of the public to the concert and to ensure safety and mobility in the area around the Parc de la Mar.
