PalmaAt least 12 people have been arrested this Tuesday as part of a major anti-drug trafficking operation in La Soledat and Marratxí. Among those arrested are 'el Pablo', his wife, and other relatives, according to sources close to the investigation.

The operation, dubbed Tsunami-Galba, is directed against an organization allegedly dedicated to drug trafficking in Mallorca and is focused mainly on the Palma neighborhood of La Soledat. A device has also been deployed in Marratxí.

In total, 14 searches have been carried out on properties linked to the investigation. The operation mobilizes more than 200 officers from the National Police and the Customs Surveillance Service of the Tax Agency.

On the part of the National Police, officers from the Balearic Judicial Police Brigade are participating, along with about 50 agents from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) deployed from Valencia. Specialists from the Operational Group of Technical Interventions (GOIT), aerial assets, and the Canine Guides unit are also intervening.

Customs Surveillance is contributing units from the Immediate Response and Intervention Groups (GRI) of Madrid and Barcelona, agents from the Regional Aeronautical Unit, in charge of the security perimeter, and other personnel from the Regional Headquarters of the Balearic Islands. Specialized personnel in technical means are also participating.

The Palma Local Police and the Cort Urban Planning Area are collaborating in the device. Local agents are in charge of traffic control, while municipal technicians are participating in the inspection of the investigated properties.

The operation continues to be underway this Tuesday and new actions within the framework of the investigation are not ruled out.
