They call to occupy the Cort square with the slogan 'Not one more Maricarmen'

PalmaThe Mallorca Tenants' Union has called on residents to occupy the Plaça de Cort this Monday to show their discontent and demand "that there be not one more Maricarmen in the whole State". Thus, they join the demonstrations organized and called by the Tenants' Unions throughout the State.

Through a press release, they detail that the goal is none other than to ensure that "the Maricarmen Decree is accepted without modifications". If this is not achieved, they explained in a statement, "this current government will have no sense at all". "We want to say enough to the speculation and rentism that has taken over our homes, our neighborhoods, and our cities. It is time to put an end to this model", they declared.

For this reason, they not only invite civil society to attend the demonstration, but also to bring their dinner and a chair and table to symbolically occupy the Plaça de Cort as a sign of protest and criticism. Other entities such as Stop Evictions have also joined the protest.
