They denounce non-compliance with minimum 112 services during the indefinite strike.
CGT regrets that in many shifts there are 20% fewer operators than stipulated.
PalmThe CGT union denounced this Tuesday that the government has failed to comply with the 100% minimum service levels decreed for the indefinite 112 strike, which has been in effect since last Thursday, on all shifts. This, it claims, demonstrates the structural lack of personnel in this essential service.
In a statement, the union lamented that on many shifts there were 20% fewer operators than stipulated, with particularly serious situations such as those on Thursday or last Sunday, when emergencies were handled with two fewer operators than required in the Balearic Islands, dropping from eight to six.
The CGT warned that three operators were missing on the Saturday afternoon shift and the Monday night shift, representing a decrease of 37% and 60% respectively, which lowered the quality of service below minimum standards for both users and workers.
The union has stated that some shifts had only five operators for the entire archipelago, and on Monday there were only two to serve more than two million people, a situation it considers "critical," aggravated by the impossibility of replacing staff due to the replacement rate.
The CGT has also criticized the Government's proposal, prior to the strike by the Balearic Islands Emergency Management (GEIB) staff, considering that it cuts labor rights and increases the workload, and has called for a mobilization this Wednesday at 10 a.m. in front of the Parliament to demand solutions to what it considers a security risk.
