They find a man's corpse in Ibiza
The Civil Guard is investigating the case, after receiving the alert from a resident of the area
PalmaThe Civil Guard is investigating the discovery of the lifeless body of a man who was found this Monday at sea, off the coast of Santa Eulària, in Ibiza. The corpse was in an advanced state of decomposition and carried no documentation that would allow its identity or origin to be determined.
As reported by the Civil Guard, a private individual gave notice around 3 p.m. after spotting the body approximately half a nautical mile from the area known as Caló des Gat.
Members of the Specialist Groups in Underwater Activities (GEAS) traveled to the indicated point and, around 5 p.m., recovered the body. It is a man who carried no documentation or clothing, according to the Armed Institute.
The corpse was subsequently transferred to the port of Ibiza, where the body was recovered. The Civil Guard is keeping the investigation open to determine the identity and clarify the circumstances of the case.
