A thief drags a shop assistant with the car to flee after stealing perfumes in Marratxí
The worker tried to prevent a woman from escaping with perfumes valued at 600 euros and ended up injured on the asphalt

PalmaThe Civil Guard has arrested a man accused of dragging a saleswoman from a perfumery in Marratxí several meters with his car while fleeing after the theft of several perfumes valued at 600 euros. The events took place on August 30th at an establishment in a commercial complex in the municipality.
The theft was committed by a woman when she left the store without paying for the products. Upon noticing, one of the establishment's employees followed her to the parking area to try to prevent her from fleeing. There was a vehicle waiting for the woman, driven by the detainee. During the struggle to prevent the alleged thief from escaping, the driver started the car while the worker was trying to stop the getaway. The vehicle dragged the saleswoman several meters along the asphalt until she ended up injured on the ground.
The two occupants of the vehicle fled at high speed. During the escape, a witness to the events tried to stop them, but had to dodge the car to avoid being run over.
After learning of the incident, Civil Guard agents began efforts to identify and locate those responsible. The investigation has ended with the arrest of the driver, who is attributed with alleged crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation and against road safety.
The woman who allegedly stole the perfumes is fully identified and her arrest is expected in the coming days, according to the Civil Guard. In addition to this robbery, agents attribute to her a second crime of robbery with violence and intimidation committed in the month of July at another establishment in the same commercial complex.
