A worker dies at the Tirme plant

PalmaA worker died this Tuesday at Tirme's facilities, as reported by the CCOO union, which has requested an investigation into the circumstances of the incident, after high levels of carbon monoxide were detected. He is an employee from the night shift of the Ilunion company who, according to the information provided by the trade union organization, was found lifeless at 9:00 PM.

During the intervention, emergency services, including ambulances and firefighters, detected high levels of carbon monoxide in the pre-selection plant area, which appeared to reach 100 ppm (parts per million), above the established limit of 50 ppm.

As a precautionary measure, the pre-selection plant has been closed and, according to those in charge, will remain so until the levels return to adequate values.

Union sources have asked to avoid "banal" assessments and have insisted on the need to obtain certainty about how and why the accident occurred, avoiding any kind of speculation that does not contribute to clarifying the facts.
