PalmThe State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has deactivated the yellow alert for rain forecast for this Monday and Tuesday in the Balearic Islands. The agency also maintains its alert for coastal phenomena in Mallorca and Menorca.

According to a social media post from Aemet, northerly winds with force 6/7 (40 to 60 km/h) will blow in Menorca, causing waves of two to three meters in height. Meanwhile, on the coast of the Tramuntana mountain range and northeast Mallorca, from 10 a.m. onwards, there will be northerly and northeasterly winds with strengths of up to 50 kilometers per hour.

The Aemet forecast is that these conditions will continue through Tuesday, extending to the southeast coast of Mallorca.

It should be noted that IG0 is activated when an adverse weather event is expected to be imminent, potentially causing danger to people and property. It corresponds to minor local adverse events that can be controlled with a rapid local response without causing damage.
