Llubí will install the track of the new municipal sports center with an investment of almost 100,000 euros

LlubíWhile the construction work on Llubí's new semi-covered municipal sports center is being concluded, the City Council expects to be able to carry out the installation of the venue's court with an investment of €100,000. The objective is to modernize this sports facility and, in line with the new installations, adapt it to the needs and advantages offered by the new space.

In fact, the project focuses mainly on the integral renovation of the court's pavement, with the installation of a rubber coating specific for sports use that is safer, more resistant, and suitable for the practice of various disciplines. Furthermore, the project also includes the construction of partial enclosure walls approximately 3.2 meters high, which will improve the safety of the space and prevent balls from leaving the venue.

This action affects an approximate area of 901.9 square meters and also includes the waterproofing of the ground, the execution of perimeter rainwater collection, and the marking of various courts for the practice of futsal, volleyball, and basketball, which will turn the space into a more versatile and functional facility.

The project, as reported by the mayor of Llubí, Magdalena Perelló, was awarded a few weeks ago, but the winning company withdrew and now it seems that the company that came in second place will finally carry out the installation work for the new court.

The project is part of municipal investments aimed at improving sports facilities and public spaces in the municipality.

With this initiative, the City Council wants to promote sports practice, especially among young people, and improve the quality of municipal facilities, while reinforcing the role of the sports center as a space for coexistence and healthy activity for all citizens.

For now, the main structure tasks are being finished and, in fact, the basketball hoops and stands are already installed. In parallel, the new changing rooms are being built. All this will conclude with the installation of the rubber court and the side walls.
