PalmBetween July and September, the Idealista website advertised 474 occupied homes for sale in the Balearic Islands, a figure that represents 2% of the properties offered. In Palma, there were 184 (2.5%).
In Spain, the number of occupied homes for sale during the third quarter on Idealista exceeded 23,000 units, 3% of the nearly 767,000 for sale during this period, and 39% were in Catalonia.
After Catalonia came Andalusia, which accounted for 22% of the total; the Valencian Community, with 11%; and the Community of Madrid, with 7%; according to a statement issued by the real estate website on Tuesday based on the properties advertised in its database.
Girona was the capital where the most occupied homes were sold in the third quarter, accounting for 8.9% of those advertised.
It was followed by Tarragona (8.8%), Seville (8.4%), Almería (6.4%), and Murcia (6.3%). Also above the national average were Lleida (5.7%), Huelva (5.6%), Huesca (5.2%), Barcelona (3.7%), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (3.6%), and Málaga (3.4%).
