Home sales rose 1.2% in June in the Balearic Islands.

Across Spain, home sales soared 17.9% in June compared to the same month in 2024.

PalmHome sales in the Balearic Islands rose 1.2% in June compared to the same month last year (compared to a 17.9% increase nationwide), with a total of 1,092 transactions. This makes the islands the autonomous community with the lowest increase, more than 15 percentage points below the national average. Compared to the previous month, there is a decrease of 18.2%, according to data published Tuesday by the National Statistics Institute (INE).

Of the sales transactions recorded in the sixth month of the year in the Balearic Islands, 1,074 were for unlisted housing and 18 for subsidized properties. Considering the age of the properties, 262 transactions were for new homes, and 830 were for used buildings.

In June, 1,737 housing transactions were carried out. In addition to the 1,092 sales and purchases, 193 were inheritances, 130 were donations, and 11 were exchanges. In total, 3,153 urban properties were transferred in the Balearic Islands during June through 1,898 sales and purchases, 350 inheritances, 262 donations, 74 exchanges, and 569 other transactions. Similarly, 929 rural property transfers were carried out, including 161 inheritances, 322 sales and purchases, 154 donations, 290 other transactions, and two exchanges.

Across Spain, home sales soared 17.9% in June compared to the same month in 2024, reaching a total of 59,021 transactions. With the increase in the sixth month of 2025, almost 22 points lower than that recorded in May, home sales have seen twelve consecutive months of year-on-year increases.

The year-on-year increase in home sales in June was a result of both the upturn in transactions on new homes, which grew 25.3% year-on-year to 12,570 transactions, and those on existing homes, which grew 16% to 46.
