PalmThe Spanish government expects to complete the development of 532 homes in Ca n'Escandell, Ibiza, in the first quarter of 2027, and plans to align the construction processes for the future homes with the bidding process, with the aim of streamlining the allocation process. This was announced by the Minister of Housing and Urban Agenda, Isabel Rodríguez, during the Senate plenary session, where she also stated that the Balearic Government will transfer the management of the remaining plots in Ca n'Escandell to the Ibiza Town Council, provided that the Council allocates them to the Europan project. Rodríguez also stipulated that the transfer of the land is contingent upon the Town Council guaranteeing the "permanent" protection of the urban development project "so that the housing is affordable and 100% public." The minister noted that of the 532 homes planned for Ca n'Escandell, 362 will be built by the state-owned entity Casa 47, and that the project will represent an investment of 100 million euros.
