Circaire returns to Alcúdia with a commitment to roots and accessible circus
The contest will offer 26 performances by 21 companies
PalmThe Alcudia Circus Festival, Circaire, will celebrate its eleventh edition on May 1, 2 and 3 with a program that claims the roots of the project and the bond with the public that has made it grow for a decade. After the tenth anniversary edition in 2025, the event returns with a proposal that combines artistic quality and accessibility, with nearly 85% of activities free of charge.
According to the organizers, the festival maintains its commitment to contemporary circus that is “close and high-quality”, collectively built with the community and with the aim of consolidating Alcudia as a state-level benchmark for the sector.
Among the most outstanding shows is Orquesta de Malabares, by the company Pistacatro, winner of the National Circus Award 2025, which will be presented in collaboration with the Municipal Music Band of Alcúdia, under the direction of Jaume Garcia. The program also includes live music performances, such as Perrakos Sound System and Daniel Higiénico.
Circaire also maintains a line of professional reflection with specific days for the sector. Among the planned activities, there is a talk on the situation of contemporary circus and a round table to analyze the relationship between institutions and artists, as well as a professional meal to foster contact between creators.
In total, the festival will bring together 21 companies and will offer 26 performances with artists from Mallorca, Valencia, Catalonia, Euskadi, Galicia, and various European countries such as Belgium, Italy, and France.
The complete program and ticket sales can be consulted on the festival's website, while during the days of Circaire there will be an information and physical sales point at the Espai Circaire, in the Plaza de Toros of Alcúdia.
