Novelist John Boyne headlines the FLEM 2025 lineup in Magaluf.
She will share the stage with international authors such as Pedro Mairal and Dolores Reyes, and with figures from the Spanish literary scene such as Antònia Vicens and Megan Maxwell, among others.
PalmIrish novelist John Boyne, who achieved worldwide fame for The boy in the striped pajamas, heads the list of confirmed participants in the fifth edition of the Magaluf Expanded Literature Festival (FLEM), which will be held from October 2 to 5 at the Innside Calvià Beach hotel.
Boyne will present his new novel for the first time, A stairway to heaven, which will be published in September, and will share the spotlight with international authors such as Pedro Mairal and Dolores Reyes, as well as with renowned figures from the national literary scene, such as the Mallorcan Antonia Vicens, Megan Maxwell, Maria Oruña, Agustina Guerrero, Eva Baltasar, Blanca Lacasa and Gloria de Castro.
According to the festival promoters, the Rata Corner bookstore and the Innside brand of the Melià hotel chain, FLEM 2025 will be the most international of those held so far this year. The festival will once again include parallel activities such as concerts, recitals and the secret rooms, with registration opening in September and a special promotion launching soon for those looking to stay at Meliá hotels near the event.
