PalmaThe ME_MMIX festival, dedicated to contemporary music and experimental and avant-garde arts, and the Red Carpet recording studios have joined forces to organize, on August 20 at 7 p.m., the first of the preview experiences with which this year's edition, the most complete and ambitious in its history, will be presented.

The show, which will take place at the Lloret de Vistalegre studios, will begin with a recital by pianist and sommelier Neus Estarellas, accompanied by a tasting of Majorcan wines. The proposal pays tribute to the composer Peter Ablinger, who died on April 17, 2025, with a selection of works from his collection Voices and Piano.

Estarellas will perform the pieces Hanna Schygulla, Angela Davis, Carmen Baliero and Morton Feldman. The repertoire will be completed with works by Karlheinz Essl, Raquel García-Tomás – National Music Award 2020 in composition – and Vito Žuraj.

The second part of the evening will be led by Xabier Casal, on baritone saxophone, and Mateu Malondra, on live electronics. Both will perform Modular Br+Elctr, a 45-minute piece and a single movement composed by Malondra himself.
