The Night of Art turns 30 years as a benchmark for contemporary art in Mallorca
The commemorative edition will be on September 19 and will claim the trajectory of an event that has contributed to projecting the contemporary art of the Islands
PalmaLa Nit de l'Art will celebrate its thirtieth anniversary this year, becoming one of Mallorca's major cultural events. The event, which will open the exhibition season on September 19, will commemorate three decades of history after consolidating itself as a meeting point for artists, gallery owners, collectors, and industry professionals, as well as being one of the main platforms for the dissemination of contemporary art in the Balearic Islands.
Driven by Art Palma Contemporani, the initiative was born in 1997 with the aim of bringing contemporary art closer to citizens through the simultaneous opening of galleries and exhibition spaces. Over the years, the event has broadened its scope and has become one of the most outstanding events on the island's cultural calendar.
The entity considers that this commemorative edition will serve to reflect the evolution of the Mallorcan art sector over the last three decades and the role that La Nit de l'Art has played in the cultural projection of Mallorca, both within and outside the Islands.
The complete program for the thirtieth edition will be announced in the coming weeks, before La Nit de l'Art, scheduled for September 19.
