PalmJournalist Victoria Morell (Palma, 1986) was immersed in a documentary about prostitution when some experts began telling her about the influence of pornography on the sexual practices men requested. An influence that, they told her, was on the rise. "Women in prostitution explained that men would simply pull out their phones and ask for what they had seen," Morell recounts, "and from that point on, I wanted to understand what was happening."

"Whether this could be related, for example, to the way young people approach sex or to violence against women." From all this emerged a project entitled NUDEThe project consists of two parts: a six-episode podcast exploring diverse themes through in-depth interviews with numerous experts, and a documentary addressing some of these central themes from an audiovisual perspective. The project has been recognized with the Miquel del Sants Oliver Journalism Prize, the second City of Palma award received by Morell, who previously won it in 2023 in the Audiovisual category for the documentary. "For me, it was very important to address the reality of pornography, because in 2019 it still wasn't being discussed enough," the journalist shares, "and because it affects other issues like education, mental health, and equality. We have to remember that before there were certain limits: people of my generation had to go to the video store to watch porn; now, it's everywhere on the internet, whether you search for it or not. OnlyFans is pornography. Many video games contain pornography, and sometimes it's the reward offered to the player when they do something right." To shape the project, Morell used the testimonies of figures such as social educators, sexologists, philosophers, experts in equality and gender violence, as well as people who have been addicted to pornography. "The podcast allowed me not only to delve deeper into some of the issues addressed in the documentary, but also to offer a more intimate space to some of these testimonies, which, after all, recounted personal experiences," explains the director of NUDEThe project, promoted and broadcast on IB3, has benefited from the sound design of Tolo Prats and also from the production, in the documentary part, of the production company Espaitemps.
