PalmaThe cancellation of the Reggaeton Beach Festival (RBF) Mallorca continues to generate reactions. The Consumers' Association of the Balearic Islands (Consubal) recalled this Thursday that affected individuals not only have the right to recover the full amount of the tickets, but also to claim the additional expenses arising from the suspension of the event, such as accommodation, flights, and car rental.

In a statement, the entity has called on the Directorate General of Consumption to strengthen surveillance of this case to ensure that consumer rights are respected. According to Consubal, refunds must be complete and cannot include discounts for items such as management fees or similar.

The association also points out that those affected can claim all reimbursements made due to attending the festival, especially in cases of people who had organized travel or accommodation to attend the event.

Regarding the procedure, Consubal explains that claims should be directed to the organizing company if the tickets were purchased directly through the festival. On the other hand, if the purchase was made through the ticket sales platform Enterticket, the claim must be processed through that channel.

The entity also considers the information provided so far by the organization to be insufficient and calls for more transparency on the reasons for the cancellation, as well as on the mechanisms in place to manage refunds and possible compensation.

In this regard, Consubal has warned that the festival's website remains active despite the suspension. Although it no longer allows ticket purchases, it claims that it does not clearly inform about the cancellation or the rights of affected attendees.
