Closing ceremony of the 4th Binissalem Choral Competition
The competition concludes three days of musical activity with a large number of participants and an enthusiastic audience.
- Yesterday, the closing ceremony of the 4th Binissalem Choral Competition took place in the Church of Santa María de Robines. On its third day, the four adult choirs selected in the previous day's qualifying round performed before a large audience. The jury, composed of Enrique Azurza, César Reda, Tomás Rosselló, Andrew Hallock, and Ane Legarreta, decided to award the following prizes: 1st Prize (Children's): Pequeñas Voces de La Alhambra
- 2nd prize children's category: Corazón Sonidos from the Manresa Municipal Conservatory of Music
- 1st prize adults: Sinfonía Choir (Torrevieja Choral School)
- 2nd prize for adults (shared): Oriol Martorell and Oñatiko Ganbara Abesbatza Chamber Choir
- Award for best children's director: Myriam Gálvez (Little Voices of the Alhambra)
- Award for best adult director: Daniel Antolí (Heart of the Chamber Oriol Martorell)
- The audience awarded the UIB Women's Choir the Audience Prize. Among all the award winners, the Sinfonía Choir stood out as having the best heart of the competition, showcasing their talent and solidifying their position as one of the most outstanding choral groups in Spain. The Binissalem Choral Competition, which pays tribute to the Binissalem-born maestro, musician, and composer Baltasar Bibiloni, has become an essential event for the Mallorcan choral community, with the clear aim of establishing itself as one of the leading competitions in Spain.
For their part, the audience awarded the UIB Women's Choir the Audience Award.
