PalmThe Popular Party councilor on the Ciutadella City Council, Nicolás Blanco, has resigned for professional reasons. He will soon begin his new role as a local police officer in Mahón. He will formalize his farewell as a politician at the next municipal plenary session. "They have shown me during these two years," during which he has alternated between government and opposition duties.
According to a statement from the PP, the former mayor and president of the PP in Ciutadella, Juana Mari Pons, highlighted the councilor's commitment, dedication, and effort for this "rigor" and that he will carry out this role with the same loyalty and honesty.
Nicolás Blanco's vacancy in the council will be filled by Antònia Arguimbau Gonyalons, a person with close ties to the countryside and a defender of the city's traditions.
