The PP calls on left-wing voters after Moreno Bonilla's insufficient victory

The Popular Party has been left two seats short of an absolute majority in the Andalusian elections

PalmaThe PP has launched a call to left-wing voters who "cannot stand" for Vox to condition governments and investitures. It is the first reaction of the popular spokesperson in Parliament, Sebastià Sagreras, after the results of the elections in Andalusia, with an unsatisfactory outcome for the PP, which, despite being the most voted party, has lost five deputies compared to 2022, has remained two seats short of an absolute majority and will again need Vox to govern.

The internal polls of the Balearic PP indicate that, if there were elections now, it would be close to an absolute majority (30), but it might not reach it (staying with 28 or 29 deputies) and depend again on the far-right. "There is a segment of voters who cannot see in any way that Vox conditions investitures and governments," he said: "The alternative is to vote for the PP." Sagreras has avoided equating the situation in Andalusia with that of the Islands, even though it responds to a general trend of rise of Vox and stagnation of the PP. "The results of the PP have been exceptional," he said, boasting of being the first force: "The socialist party has repeated the worst results in its history."
