Three injured in Ciutadella after facade collapse in Plaça Nova

The affected individuals, aged 38, 39, and 65, have been transferred to the Juaneda clinic after the incident in Nova square

CitadelThree women were injured this Sunday morning in Ciutadella after several fragments of a decorative marés stone border detached from the facade of a building located in Plaça Nova.

The incident occurred around 11:00 AM, when the ornamental piece fell from about three meters high onto people passing by on the public street. Two advanced life support units from SAMU 061 were dispatched to the scene.

The affected individuals are three women aged 38, 39, and 65, who were attended by health services and subsequently transferred to the Juaneda clinic in Ciutadella.

According to the emergency service, two of the injured women presented with mild head trauma, as well as various contusions and fractures, while the third suffered minor injuries. The final toll leaves two less seriously injured people and one with minor injuries.

The incident also mobilized personnel to secure the area and inspect the state of the facade after the detachment.
