CostichoThe 35-year-old woman who was brutally attacked and stabbed by her ex-partner in Costitx on Sunday remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Son Espases Hospital, in serious but stable condition. The assailant is also still in custody at the same hospital, having been transferred from Inca Hospital. Agents from the Women and Minors Unit (EMUME) of the Civil Guard have taken charge of the investigation to try to clarify the circumstances of the incident. It should be recalled that the woman was allegedly stabbed as she left a house where a party was taking place on the outskirts of Costitx by her ex-partner, against whom there was a restraining order. The incident occurred at approximately 5:12 a.m. last Sunday, when the woman was ambushed by her ex-partner as she left a party at a house on the outskirts of this town in the Pla de Mallorca region. The man arrived at the property and assaulted the woman, who, due to her injuries, was taken to Son Espases University Hospital. The man injured himself and was taken to Inca Hospital in stable condition.
