A mobile phone has come out in our hand

If you are capable of walking down the street with your head held high, you will see a dystopian scene that you would not have imagined a few decades ago. People and more people moving about while looking at their mobile phones, who have developed the ability to dodge obstacles without seeing them, incapable of contemplating the world around them, unless that world is inside the small screen they hold in their hand.

At this point, I begin to think that the Homo sapiens is the intermediate species between the Homo erectus and the Homo 'doblegatus' and I would like to be in this world to see how the physical evolution of the human body will end. I imagine people with giant thumbs, and elongated and curved necks, to the point of looking like big question marks. Eyes will no longer be able to look at the horizon without protection, because it will be dangerous to lift one's head, and it will also cause muscle pain.

The mobile phone has become part of our body. We no longer pick it up, because that would mean we had put it down before. It is always with us. It hangs from our neck, it makes it difficult for us to pick up other things, it does not want to separate from us. If it is forgotten, anxiety makes an appearance. Here a reminder is needed: anxiety is a natural response of the body that acts as an alert in the face of danger. Instinctively, we consider that being away from our mobile phone is dangerous and we become nervous.

The last thing we do before sleeping, the few hours that the screen leaves us, is to look at the mobile phone. And it is also the first thing we do when we wake up. After a few hours without it, we have withdrawal syndrome. It is hard to be dissociated from that which shapes your life, which stimulates you, which offers you a world of possibilities. There are so many things we have to look at on the mobile phone, that a whole day is not enough. The hours fly by, as if we were in love (perhaps we are). The mobile phone is our friend, enemy, father, mother, brother, friend... It is everything, it is everywhere.

The images parade at full speed, passing one after the other. It is good drugs, hard drugs. How were we able to live before this? Clothes, cats, second-hand shopping, social networks, true news, fake news, pundits, influencers, manipulators, scammers, the third world war, 5G, the evil of vaccines, invasions, barbarians, makeup classes, the outfit of the day... A whole world of possibilities far from the world. Lock yourself at home, relax, you have a mobile phone. How lucky.
