The party's general secretary, Iago Negueruela, and the executive have thanked Ducrós for the work carried out as spokesperson

The current PSIB spokesperson in the Palma City Council, Xisco Ducrós, has resigned from his position this Thursday for personal reasons. For this reason, Ducrós will be replaced by the current deputy spokesperson, Francesc Dalmau. This was agreed upon in the executive committee of the Socialist Group of Palma, where Silvana González was ratified as deputy spokesperson.

According to information provided by the party in a press release, Ducrós retains his organic positions in the party as deputy general secretary of the Palma socialists and will also continue as a councilor in the City Council. The party's general secretary, Iago Negueruela, and the executive committee have thanked Ducrós for his work as spokesperson.

The executive committee meeting has approved various resolution proposals, such as showing the party's support for the demands of Ceipieem Son Serra, defending the rights of the Lgtbi community, or advocating for the legacy of the sustainable tourism tax (ITS). Thus, the socialists will present a motion in the plenary session demanding a public apology from Ben Amics and the entire Lgtbi community of Palma for the "institutional neglect" that has, for now, led to the cancellation of the Pride festival in 2026.

Similarly, they will demand that the City Council "not appropriate or instrumentalize" Pride's protest events, in addition to ensuring that the demonstration on June 27 and all activities planned for the month of June can take place without any obstacles. In relation to the 25 years of the ITS, the party publicly denounces the "betrayal of the spirit" of this tax and the "showcase city" model of the mayor, Jaime Martínez.

They will also demand that ITS funds not be allocated to strengthening the tourism sector and that the purposes prior to 2023 be recovered, especially those related to promoting public housing. On the other hand, the executive committee has shown its support for the demands of the 0-3 workers and the educational community of Ceipieem Son Serra, which is calling for the construction of a new center.
