PalmaMÉS per Mallorca ratified this Saturday, in assembly and by acclamation, the candidacies that will head the party's electoral lists to the Parliament and the Consell de Mallorca in the May 2027 elections. Lluís Apesteguia and Maria Ramon will lead the autonomous candidacy, while Miquel Oliver and Marta Català will head the island list.

After the assembly, the party held an open event in the Plaça de Francesc Garcia i Orell in Palma, which it presented as the starting point of a new political cycle with a team "prepared to lead Mallorca in the coming years".

During his speech, Apesteguia argued that MÉS per Mallorca represents an alternative to political resignation. "We need a project that puts people's lives at the center, that understands that the economy must serve people, not the other way around, and that protects the territory," he stated.

The eco-sovereignist spokesperson in Parliament also assured that the party's objective is to ensure that citizens can "live, work, and build their future here." In this regard, he expressed confidence that MÉS can provide "the solutions people need" and celebrated the unanimous support received during the assembly.

For her part, Maria Ramon placed language and education among the priorities of the political project. The candidate thanked the work of teachers, educators from 0 to 3 years old, educational technical assistants, and families who, she said, fight every day for dignified conditions within the educational system.

On the island level, Miquel Oliver focused his speech on the housing crisis. The mayor of Manacor compared the current situation to a game of Monopoly and denounced the accumulation of properties in the hands of a few while many people cannot access housing. "Houses must once again be a right and not a financial product," he demanded.

Finally, Marta Català warned that Mallorca is in a "limit situation" and defended the need to promote profound changes. According to the candidate, tourism growth has not translated into an improvement in the well-being of the majority of residents. "While a few get rich doing business with our island, the vast majority of working families do not make ends meet," she stated.

With the proclamation of candidacies, MÉS per Mallorca formally begins the path towards the 2027 elections, with housing, territorial defense, language, and social justice as the main pillars of its political discourse.
