The Council has gifted the flags on the occasion of the September 12th National Day
Galmés has gifted the councilors with a flag and a bracelet and the institution will distribute 40,000 copies with the written press
PalmaThe Council of Mallorca has also started the term this Thursday with the first plenary session after the summer. Beyond the debates that were taking place inside the plenary hall of the Royal Palace, a curious image could be captured in front of the entrance portal to the headquarters of the island institution.
Just two days before September 12, the Mallorca Day set by the Council of Llorenç Galmés, the island institution has installed a small stall draped with fabric with a box with some letters written in markers that invites everyone who wants to, to take a flag of Mallorca.
At the beginning of the plenary session, President Galmés announced that he was giving a bracelet and the flag to all the councilors "so as not to carry our flag only in your heart, but so that you can show it wherever you go", he said.
The Council of Mallorca is once again giving away 40,000 flags this year through the written press on the occasion of the Day of September 12.
